Receptionist – Up to 1 year Mat Leave Cover – 1.0 FTE (5 days a week)

Two Rivers Family Health Team provides primary health care, including chronic disease management, health promotion and disease prevention, to a rostered population of patients in the local community and surrounding area. Two Rivers Family Health Team employs an interprofessional team of health care providers who work in a collaborative model of care.

Two Rivers Family Health Team is currently seeking a full-time Receptionist to support the Allied Health Professionals within our organization. The Receptionist position provides seamless clerical support to our administrative team, the programs and services offered and the patients and family members attending these Programs and Services at Two Rivers Family Health Team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in and direct patients in an efficient and professional manner
• Collect demographic information from patients to ensure information in the electronic record is accurate and up to date
• Effectively utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) to retrieve requested data and internal referrals
• Ability to answer phones, communicate appointments effectively and provide exceptional customer service to patients
• Ability to complete administrative requests and meet deadlines as assigned
• Scan appropriate documents into the EMR
• Perform general office tasks such as filing, emailing, faxing and data entry
• Provide backup reception coverage within the FHT as required

Qualifications and Skills Required

• 2-3 years experience in a similar position within a healthcare environment
• Proficient in data entry
• Working knowledge of Office 365
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work well in a team environment
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize while working within a busy healthcare environment
• Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong knowledge of Telus PS Suite EMR system is an asset
• Ability to maintain patient privacy
• Monday – Friday, Hours to be discussed.
